The Defence Security Corps (DSC) celebrated its 79th Raising Day today, commemorating nearly eight decades of dedicated and distinguished service to the Nation.
The commemorative events commenced with a solemn wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial, where Lieutenant General Vipul Shinghal, Colonel Commandant, DSC, paid tribute to the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
Addressing the troops on the occasion, the Colonel Commandant lauded the Corps for its unwavering vigilance in safeguarding sensitive military installations across the country. He also commended the DSC’s steadfast role in Aid to Civil Authorities during times of need. Emphasising the enduring relevance of the Corps’ motto, “Raksha Tatha Suraksha,” he exhorted all ranks to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Vipul Shinghal presented awards to DSC personnel in recognition of their exceptional and meritorious service.
