The Jammu and Kashmir police today dismissed and arrested 6 over ground workers of the terrorists who were involved in Narco Terrorism. These were government employees but were facilitating terrorists. With the current sacking, the government has dismissed eight employees within a month for involvement in narco-terror activities at the behest of the Pakistan ISI and its terror proxies.
Out of the six terminated from service, two are police personnel. The others have been known for their links with Lashkar and Hizbul Mujahideen. Their link with narcotics and terrorists has been clearly established as per the admistration.
The narcotics has been used to fund and fuel terrorist operations for more than two decades in J&k now. Apart from smuggling of narcotics from across the border, it is a known fact that Doda Post, which is locally grown is illegally sold and used to find the terrorists and their activities. This action is part of a broader strategy to eradicate the nexus between narcotics and terrorism that has plagued the region for several years.
In the future too the administration should continue its efforts to dismantle the narco-terror network by working closely with central agencies and employing advanced technology for surveillance and intelligence gathering.
