INDIAN ARMY TO HOST YOUNG LEADERS FORUM ON NATIONAL UNITY DAY

“ Veer Yuva: Empowering Youth for India’s National Security”

The Indian Army will organise the Young Leaders Forum on 31 October 2025, symbolically held on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, whose vision of unity and resilience laid the foundations of a strong and secure nation. The event serves as the precursor to the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025, the Army’s flagship international strategic conclave.
Themed “Veer Yuva: Empowering Youth for India’s National Security,” the Forum embodies the Army’s vision of bringing the youth of India together for the national dream of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. It seeks to channel the energy, creativity and patriotism of young Indians towards strengthening the nation’s unity, resilience and security consciousness.
The event will feature addresses by Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Minority Affairs; General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff and Shri Tejasvi Surya, Hon’ble Member of Parliament along with interactive sessions led by eminent personalities, entrepreneurs, scholars, and youth icons. The discussions will explore how India’s youth can contribute to national security and development through innovation, technology, civic leadership and defence entrepreneurship.
By holding the Forum on National Unity Day, the Indian Army pays tribute to Sardar Patel’s enduring vision of a strong, united and secure India, while reaffirming that the nation’s future strength lies in its youth.
As a precursor to the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025, themed “Reform to Transform: Sashakt, Surakshit aur Viksit Bharat,” the Young Leaders Forum serves as a bridge between youthful energy and strategic insight transforming awareness into action and aspiration into achievement.
In essence, the Young Leaders Forum is not merely an event but a movement to awaken the collective strength of India’s youth the torchbearers of unity, innovation, and national purpose on the road to Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
